When I first opened up the BrowserHistory1 module I felt a bit intimidated just by looking at the instructions. I would say that the first few steps of BH1 was not bad because it was just a start up of making the webpage. I started making the .html file and I used what I learned in lab about http-server . Overall, BH1 was not bad but there were some parts where I got stuck on but in time, I figurered it out. I had to watch the screencast when I was tasked to make the Table of Contents and the Logo images for each of the section. I believe that if I just took the time to really read the instructions and steps I could have done this Browser History 1 without watching the screencast.
My advice for doing BrowserHistory1 is to pay attention to the small details in the steps and it is manageable to do without the screencast.
BrowserHistory2 gave me a bit of problems because this webpage assignment focused css and I am not too comfortable on CSS. CSS felt like a blank canvas for me and I had to watch the screencast for this assignment. But once I watched the screencast, I understood why the layout of the .css file is the way it is. I learned that I have to set ID names and classes to distinguish what I want to modify on CSS. Just like BH1, BH2 could have been done without watching the screencast.
My advice for doing BrowserHistory2 is to review some of the basic CSS functions and tags to get a better understanding of what these tools do for your website.
BrowserHistory3 had a combination of .html and .css and it was mostly about moving and modifying the different elements of the webpage. When first reading the tasks for this assignment, I had a clear picture of what it was supposed to look like but the problem was how to do it. I knew that I had to set up ID or class names for the different sections in the .html file but what I do after was something I was confused about. Just like the last two BrowserHistory assignments, the screencast provided a learning experience that both refreshed and brought new information to my mind.
My advice for BrowserHistory3 is to familiar yourself with the different HTML and CSS functions and tools before doing this assignment.
Overall, I learned a great amount of things when doing these three Borwser History assignments. I learned about some of the different CSS functions and HTML tools. I also learned how these two files can be used together to make a webstie.
